The VCD2000 series system is a patented, closed-loop system that uses a unique evaporation process and advanced heat transfer technologies to concentrate your wastewater. The process creates clean water and a small portion of concentrate.
The VCD2000 Process:
VACOM's patented process combines mechanical vapor recompression with turbulent flow heat exchange technology. By incorporating four separate but interconnected operating loops in one system, VACOM technology enables industry to treat the most difficult and complex waste streams. As shown below, the four operating loops are:
THE FEED LOOP automatically provides feed to the system while removing gross solids.
THE RECIRCULATION LOOP concentrates the feed stream within a highly turbulent flow. By keeping the primary exchanger flooded and pressurized, all flash evaporation occurs in the vessel. The result is a highly efficient, self-cleaning and non-scaling system.
THE RECOVERY LOOP condenses the evaporated steam into effluent while recovering the latent heat of evaporation.
THE HEAT MAKEUP LOOP provides indirect heat to makeup any heat losses.
